Livedoor Co.,Ltd. (Livedoor Co.,Ltd.) is an Internet service provider in Japan. Its portal site originally provided free dial-up Internet service. In 2002, it was acquired by Takafumi Horie's Liv'in on the Edge. It became famous in 2005 when it attempted to acquire Fuji TV, becoming one of the three major portals in Japan. It was delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006 because of the Livegate scandal.
